Family helps vet recover from injuries

By JASON PATTERSON
Managing Editor

MacDaniel Gatson doesn’t have any trouble understanding the sacrifices veterans make.
The Yazoo City resident is just thankful his brother Kevin is still alive.
Kevin Gatson lost his leg and suffered numerous painful injuries after surviving a bomb explosion in Afghanistan.
“It’s just a blessing that he’s still here,” MacDaniel said. “He had seven grenades on him when the explosion went off. Some of the guys who were with him died.” -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
