The result snaps a three game winning streak for the Mavericks (3-7) who get ready to face North Delta this week in the first round of the MAIS playoffs.

ACCS was much bigger than Manchester, a similar obstacle they had faced several times this season including Leake and Canton, both losses.

“We’re just not very big and strong right now,” head coach Bennie McLendon said. “We knew they were going to be tough but we felt like we could play with them. Defensively we didn’t have much emotion.”

The Mavericks took advantage of the home crowd atmosphere and capping a 65 yard opening drive in the first quarter when senior quarterback Matt Peaster found Will Bearden  for a 50 yard touchdown to give Manchester a 7-0 lead
