TRUDY HARBER

Trudy Boyd Harber, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were Tuesday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rocky Enriquies officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Mrs. Harber was born June 13, 1932 in Yazoo County  to Hawkins and Alma Davis Boyd. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Harber; a daughter, Betty Harber Chisolm; a sister, Mary Pugh; and three brothers, H.W. Boyd, Henry Boyd and Junior McCurdy.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Ray Harber (Grace), Larry Harber and Michael (Margaret) Harber, all of Benton; two sisters, Willie M. Edmonds and Leandra Jenkins, both of Benton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Jason Harber, Matt Williams, Richard Morgan, Dee Harber, Jonathan Beacom and Josh Farrow.
Honorary pallbearers were Sidney Harber, Talmadge Harber, Charles Harber, Rick Morgan, Stuart Morgan, Gene Martin and Roy Cleveland.

ELEANOR LANDRUM

Eleanor Ann Landrum, 87, of Laurel, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at Comfort Care in Laurel.
Funeral services were Oct. 22 at Memory Chapel with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial followed in Jasper County.
Mrs. Landrum was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1923 to Rufus and Nebraska Brown of Laurel. She served her country during World War II in the U.S. Army at Washington National Airport,  headquarters for the Air Transport Command. During her tour of duty she was promoted to Sergeant over Special Information Operations. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aldean M. Landrum; and a granddaughter, Kristi Bradshaw.
Survivors include five children, Patricia Ann Lowery (Carley), Ronda G. Brooks (Sammy), Kerry D. Landrum (Diane), Darrell M. Landrum (Gail) and Merrill B. Landrum (Nancy); nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

ROY MAY

Roy L. May, 79, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 at G.V. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation is today from 10-11 a.m. at Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Funeral services are today at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Haggert and Rev. George Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Fletchers Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. May was born March 22, 1931 in Yazoo County to Lee Jefferson May and Johnnie Mae Woods May. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a retired businessman and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda May of Yazoo City; a daughter, Carol Denise May of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Roy L. May Jr. of Memphis, Tenn. and David W. May (Tina) of Brandon; three sister, Jean Scomyers of Yazoo City, Nell Castens of Canton and Clarice Smith of Clinton; and three grandchildren, Hope, David Lee and Warren.
Serving as pallbearers are Randy Dunlap, Mike Cascio, Jeff Gerald, Tony Brown, Danny Castens and Jerry Isonhood.
