After 25 years of law enforcement under his belt, former Yazoo assistant police chief Larry Echols thought he was ready to start enjoying the retired life.
Instead he’s embarking on a new career.
Echols is the new minister for the Church of Christ in Yazoo City. After filling in for former pastor John Dial, Echols felt called to accept the position when Dial retired.
Although he had worked as a minister and missionary many years ago, Echols didn’t think he would be leading a congregation.
