MIRANDA FULGHAM
Miranda Fulgham, 28, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services are today at 10 a.m. at Shaffer & Collins Funeral home.

ANNIE JONES
Annie Rene Jones, 91, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at home.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Short Creek Cemetery with Rev. Bill Hutto officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 13, 1918 in Yazoo County to William D. Ellzey and Rosetta Sullivan Ellzey. She was a homemaker and a member of Short Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett A. Jones.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Jones of Yazoo City and Thomas Jones of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Frances Corley of Yazoo City and Teresa Jones of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Short Creek Baptist Church.

ROY SAXTON
Roy W. Saxton Sr., 72, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services were Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Steven Head and Rev. Rickey Dorrell officiating. Burial followed at Cypress Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Saxton was born Sept. 7, 1937 in Yazoo County to Grover and Sadie Bell Street Saxton. A Vietnam veteran, Saxton retired from the U.S. Army after serving 20 years. He then owned and operated an auto repair shop in New Orleans, La. Both of his sons went on to be auto mechanics and Roy Saxton Jr. continues to operate the shop his father started. After retiring a second time, Saxton moved back to Mississippi and began volunteering with the Veteran’s Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Naomi H. Saxton of Flora; two sons, Roy Saxton Jr. of New Orleans and Wesley (Deborah) Saxton of Jackson; four daughters, Darlene Ortiz of Bishop, Calif., Ellouise (Eric) Scholler of Richmond, Va., Faith (Jimmy) Isonhood of Tinsley and Tina (David) Hudson of Yazoo City; three brothers, Grover Saxton Jr. of Yazoo City, Wiley Saxton of Yazoo City and Tim Saxton of Yazoo City; four sisters, Georgie Hasty of Benton, Catherine Eldridge of Yazoo City, Vysa Cummings of Yazoo City and Margie Hasty of Yazoo City; 11 grandchildren, Michelle Stuckey, Eric Isonhood, Kip Isonhood, Candice Stagno, John Hudson, Cheyenne Hudson, Cristy Meaux, Christina Burtanog, Michael Knight, Wesley Saxton Jr. and Roy Saxton III; and five great-grandchildren, Sydney Stuckey, Donovan Stuckey, Haydin Hudson, Quayde Stuckey and Bryanna Burtanong.
Serving as pallbearers were Roy Saxton III, John Hudson, Eric Meaux, Eric Isonhood, Kip Isonhood, Jeff Hasty and Kevin Stagno.

MARY TINNIN
Mary Elizabeth Terry Tinnin, 87, died  Thursday, May 20, 2010 after an extended illness.  At the time of her death, she was residing with her daughter in Cumming, Georgia, just north of Atlanta.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Yazoo City on Monday at 1 p.m. The family will have visitation from noon until 1 p.m..
Mrs. Tinnin was born Sept. 29, 1922. She graduated from Yazoo City High School and later spent a year on Wall Street in New York City.  She  was a long time resident of Yazoo City and Eden.  She was married to John W. Tinnin, Jr  for  52 years until his death in July, 1997.
Survivors include two children, John W. Tinnin and Ann Tinnin Shafer; granddaughter, Paige (David) Grove and four great-grandsons, Collin, Chandler, Cortland and Cooper; one sister, Dorothy Volk of Huntington, West Virginia.  
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, of which she was a longtime member, or, to the American Cancer Society.
