MARIE BRADY

Marie Hoover Brady, 92, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Yazoo City, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
Graveside services were Friday at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena with Rev. Don Montgomery officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brady was born Sept.  4, 1918 in Memphis, Tenn. to the late C.W. Hoover and the late Christine Burnell Hoover.  The family later moved to Yazoo City and she grew up in Yazoo. She was a member of Cleburne Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, Mike Brady of Monroe, Washington; a daughter, Jane Rice ( Phil) of Arkadelphia, Ark.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Hoover Brady; a brother, Winston Hoover; and a sister-in-law, Dee Hoover.
Serving as pallbearers were Joe Tom Cunningham, Alan Rice, Steven Rice, Robbie Torrey, Winston "Wink" Hoover, Buron Griffin and W.A. Rogers.
Memorials may be made to the Cleburne Avenue Presbyterian Church, Cleburne and South 8th Streets, West Helena, Arkansas 72390, or to the Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 628 Malvern Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
