Burn ban enacted in Yazoo Co.

By JASON PATTERSON
Managing Editor

Yazoo County is under a burn ban.
Outdoor fires are prohibited under a burn ban, including prescribed burns for land management, burning logging debris, trash piles and even camp fires.
The Yazoo County Board of Supervisors enacted the ban Monday due to dangerous conditions. Last month was the driest September in 50 years, and October is expected to be dry as well.
