Drivers have recently had to pay close attention when traveling on U.S. 49 between Yazoo County and Flora or else risk hitting some teeth-jarring potholes.
That problem will be a thing of the past when the Mississippi Department of Trasportation's project is complete. The Highway 49 North project will completely rehabilitate the pavement between Flora and the Yazoo County Line and will replace two bridges near the Big Black River.
