CLEVELAND - Facing elimination for the North State softball playoffs, Benton Academy needed a win over Kemper Academy Saturday to continue their state title run.
A two run rally in the fourth inning ended the Lady Raiders season.
Benton, who finished 15-17, had a tough match up right from start in four-time defending state champion Bayou Academy.
Nora Grace Davis had the only hit for the Lady Raiders in the 5-0 defeat. In all, Benton had just two runners on base.
