Special team mistakes fatal for Mavs

By DAN HAWTHORNE
Sports Editor

INDIANOLA- Matt Peaster scored two touchdowns for Manchester Academy, but a third quarter meltdown on special teams led to a 26-12 victory for Indianola Friday night. It was the third straight loss for the Mavericks (0-2) dating back to last season.
“We just didn’t play to well on offense and our special teams killed us,” head coach Benny McLendon said. “But we didn’t give up any defensive touchdowns, so that was a plus.”
