The Indians lost by a touchdown in their season opener.Dazmon Wright threw two touchdowns and ran for another in his debut for Yazoo City Friday night, but his efforts under center weren’t enough as Jackson Wingfield pulled out a 26-20 win in the 2010 season opener.

The Indians last ditch effort came with just seconds remaining in the game; Wright’s complete pass to Kiese Kirkland that would have tied the ballgame fell just short of the goal line according to the referee.

Head coach Tony Woolfolk said he wasn’t surprised about the first game jitters.
