Local Kudzu Players return

Special to The Herald

After taking the summer off, the Kudzu Community Players are in the pre-production phase of its fall play.
This play is Neil Simon’s take on the job story, which makes it a comedy on a very serious subject.
The troupe will assemble on Thursday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Triangle Cultural Center to audition for a cast. There’s no need to prepare an audition monologue as scenes from the script, God’s Favorite, will be available.
The cast includes five men ranging from 24-60 years old, four Caucasians and one African-American, and three women ranging from 24-60 years old, two Caucasians and one African-American.
Auditions and other spectators are welcome from 7-9 p.m.
Also, the Kudzu Community Players need volunteers and curious children in every aspect of their production. For more information, call 590-5767.
