Jamboree recaps, teams ready to go

The 2010 high school football season kicks off this week across the state but more importantly here in the county.

Several teams got a chance to showcase their talents last Friday with a jamboree and give their fans a little preview of what’s to come this fall.

Manchester Academy had the only jamboree on their turf and played two 25-minute scrimmages against Carroll Academy and Hillcrest. First year head coach Benny McLendon says he was pleased with the effort he saw but there were still some things that needed a little work.
