The Yazoo City firefighters of B-Shift were honored with the presentation of an “Answered the Call” resolution during the Aug. 9 meeting of the Yazoo City Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
Recognized for their teamwork in the saving of an individual’s life during a July 23 fire call were Battalion Chief Ceaser Felton Jr., firefighter Curtis Smith, Captain Christopher Mackie McGraw, firefighter Keith White, Lt.  Sherard Newton, Acting Captain Michael Langston Jr., Captain Roosevelt Johnson Jr. and Lt. Dan Scott.
“Captain Roosevelt Johnson Jr. and Acting Captain Michael Langston Jr. played a heroic role by administering CPR before providing oxygen to the resident whose life was saved,” the resolution stated.
