Mary Newcomb Acuff and Joshua Gregory HoffmanMr. and Mrs. John Howard Colvett and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moseley Acuff Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mary Newcomb Acuff, to Joshua Gregory Hoffman of Birmingham, Ala.
Miss Acuff is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donnell James McCormack of Memphis, Tenn., and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moseley Acuff of Montgomery, Ala.
She is a graduate of the Hutchison School and received her bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Mississippi.
Miss Acuff is a data analyst at Regions Bank in Birmingham, Ala.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Alvin Hoffman of Yazoo City and the grandson of Mrs. Vay Gregory McGraw and the late Thomas McGraw Jr. and Mrs. Lola Marie Hoffman and the late Thomas Edward Hoffman, all of Yazoo City.
He is an honors graduate of Manchester Academy. He received a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Hoffman is the marketing manager for Mason Corp. in Birmingham, Ala.
The couple will unite in marriage Aug. 21, 2010, at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Memphis.
They will reside in Birmingham, Ala.
