HENRY COWAN Jr.
Henry Edward “Brake” Cowan Jr., 44, died March 19, 2013.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Tulane Baptist Church with Rev. Gilbert Andrews officiating. Burial followed at Yazoo Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Century Funeral Home.
Mr. Cowan was born July 19, 1968 to Mary Cowan and the late Henry Cowan Sr. He received his education in the Yazoo City School District and was a member of Tulane Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Cowan; two daughters, Brittany Cage and Purshiva Cage; four sisters, Charlene, Thresa, Pamela and Katrina; a granddaughter, Madyson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Chris “Lee” Rucker, Robert Hill, Ike McGruder, Mark Williams, Edward Henderson, Bennie Burns and Lexus Martell Hill.
Honorary pallbearers were Greg Taylor, Cherry Fox, Shai Taylor, David Stiffie, George T. Littleton, David McGruder and Andrew Cook.
Warren DuBose, 67, died March 24, 2013 at his home in Yazoo County.
Funeral services are today at 3 p.m. at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Eddmenson officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. DuBose was born Dec. 28, 1945 in Rosemark, Tenn. to Benjiman and Ruby Jane Overall DuBose. He was an operator for CF Industries and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Fraser DuBose; and a grandson, James Caleb DuBose.
Survivors include his son, Jonathan DuBose of Brandon; daughter, Sarah Wright of Ridgeland; brother, Tom DuBose of Jackson, Tenn.; two sisters, Margie Jamison of Cordova, Tenn. and Mary Anderson of Anderson, S.C.; and four grandchildren.
