Don Foster is what you might call “old school” when it comes to police work.
“A lot of the older officers said their way was like the old school way,” Foster said. “They broke up fights, answered domestic calls and other things. They just tried to help people.”
For the past 24 years, Foster has brought that style to the Yazoo City Police Department. Perhaps his lessons will carry on with the younger officers as he puts his gun away this month.
