Miss Emily Martin and Corey PowellLisa Martin and the late William Robert Martin of Bentonia are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Emily Kathryn “Kate” Martin, to Corey Powell, son of Debbie McMaster Boggan of Yazoo City .
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Ida Martin and the late Raiford Martin, and John “Hot” and Jean Johnson.
Miss Martin is a 2006 graduate of Tri-County Academy and currently attends Mississippi College, where she is earning a business degree.  She is a bank teller at M&F Bank.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of A.M. and the late Gladys McMaster and the late Betty Faye Powell.
The couple will exchange wedding vows on March 23, 2013 at 5 p.m. on The Ridge at Parkview Church of God.
Rev. Emmerson Tedder will officiate the double ring ceremony.  
Reception will follow at the Yazoo Country Club.
