Verizon Wireless building new towers in the county

By JASON PATTERSON
Editor & Publisher

Verizon Wireless is constructing three new towers in Yazoo County for cellular telephone service.
On Monday the Yazoo County Board of Supervisors approved an easement for an electrical line to serve a tower that will be constructed on Gordon Road in the Linwood Community.
Ray Palmertree with CMI Aquisitions told the board the easement is needed because a water line exists where they need to set a power pole.
