Melissa Daniels woke up with a smile on her face Wednesday morning.
She was ready to celebrate her birthday with family and friends.
Her daughter’s school was honoring her that morning.
And she was on her way to her first chemotherapy treatment.
But she continued to smile.
“All you can do sometimes is smile,” she said. “You have to find the humor in it. You have to go on through it and hope everything turns out fine.”
