Around 50 percent of the senior class at Yazoo City High School are not likely to graduate this year.
According to Cynthia Johnson Walker, who spoke to the school board Thursday, in spite of the likelihood of failure, the 80-plus seniors who are in academic trouble, have not been taking advantage of the scheduled Saturday tutoring sessions that have been conducted at Yazoo City High School.
There are 164 students in the 2013 senior class.
