Tri-County sweeps Benton in rivalry showdown

Benton Academy and Tri-County Academy met on the hardwood Tuesday night in another rival game.
However, it was Tri- County getting the sweep against their bitter rival Benton. The Rebels whipped the Raiders 53-28 in boys action while in the girls game. While in the girls game the Lady Rebels upended the Lady Raiders 55-33.

The Lady Rebels remained on top in the MAIS polls after a convincing victory here at Rebel gymnasium. After a see-saw battle between the two squads, Lexie Guion’s trey from NBA range pulled the Lady Rebels within two points of the­ Lady Raiders at 18-16. In the second quarter, the Lady Raiders outscored the Lady Rebels 12-5 to take a solid 42-21 into halftime.
