Lady Indians split two in JPS tournament

Through the first half of their opening round contest with Wingfield in the JPS Christmas tournament, it looked as though the Yazoo City Lady Indians were headed to the second round of the tournament for the first time in recent memory. The Lady Indians, however, had a complete collapse in the second half, allowing the Lady Falcons to outscore them 48-32 down the stretch to steal the 66-58 win.
The Lady Indians picked up a consolation game victory, 39-13, over the Callaway Lady Chargers the next day and improved to 5-11 on the year, but that win didn’t erase the sting of the loss to Wingfield.
