The countdown begins. If you haven’t marked July 26 on your calendars, maybe you need to. That’s the first official day of football practice across the state.

And starting Monday, Yazoo City, Manchester Academy, Yazoo County and Benton Academy will be getting ready for the 2010 campaign in what should another great season, and my first full season on the sidelines covering the games for The Herald.
