With a pair of losses to Winston and Oak Hill over the weekend, the Manchester Academy Lady Mavericks dropped to 3-8 overall on the season, but more importantly, 0-2 in conference play.
MA head coach Tamara Faulkner points to her teams youth and inexperience as the driving forces behind the Lady Mavs early struggles.
"We ony have one returning starter from last season (Kaitlyn Woods), two seniors, one junior and seven sophomores so we're very young," said Faulkner. "They're working hard everyday though and that's a good thing."
