John-Patrick Sherling; the son of Dr. and Mrs. Amzi Sherling, former residents of Yazoo City and currently residing in Fairhope, Ala.,  the grandson of Mrs. John P. (Pro) Metts, the late Mr. John P. Metts and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.B. (Bob) Sherling all of Yazoo City,  is one of 27Alabama football players selected to represent the state of Alabama in the AL/MS All-Star Game Saturday December 15, 2012.
