Twenty years at Ricks Library

Managing Editor

Miranda Purvis will be celebrating 20 years at Ricks Memorial Library next week.
The Yazoo native has seen her share of changes while working at the local library for the past two decades. But the love for her hometown and giving back to the community through her job has remained steady over the years.
“We have a unique community here,” she said. “You have to love it to stay here. I was born and raised here, and I am not going anywhere.”
Purvis joined the library staff on Dec. 16, 1993.
