By JASON PATTERSON
Managing Editor

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers debris removal project is complete in Yazoo County.
Removal of debris from the April 24 tornado concluded in the city on July 12 and wrapped up last week for the county. Although the collection of debris is complete, work to reduce the piles of collected material by burning continued this week.
Around 43,000 tons of debris were removed in Yazoo County. Nearly 3,000 tons of debris were removed inside the city limits of  Yazoo City.
