Alex Alias usually goes hunting with his dad, but he may insist on bringing mom along from now own.
Alex, 12, took a late afternoon hunting trip recently with his mother Chesley after his father, Chris Alias, was unable to make it.
It turned out to be the best hunt of his lifetime, and a hunt that proved to be more successful than anything many much more experienced hunters have accomplished when he took an impressive 11-point buck with an 18-inch spread.
“I’ve been hunting for a long time, and I’ve never killed anything that nice,” said Eddie Joe Alias, Alex’s proud grandfather. “This was really something special.”
Alex has been hunting for about seven years.
“Alex regulary hunts with his dad, but this was a rare occurrence in which I was able to go with him,” Chesley said. “We went to the field about 5 p.m.”
