JIMMIE JOHNSON
Jimmie  “Jim” Louis Johnson 52, died Nov. 14, 2012.
Funeral services were Tuesday at St. Emmanuel M.B. Church with Rev. James Jackson officiating. Burial followed at Cypress Garden Cemetery under the direction of Scott Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson was born May 1, 1960 to Eugene W. and Nehema S. Johnson. He attended Yazoo City Public Schools and was a member of Emmanuel M.B. Church.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia Gainwell and Mary Ann Shepeard.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene W. Johnson of  Yazoo City; a son, Jamarkis Price of Jackson; four daughters, Porsha, Regina and Willie Johnson and Wendy Hampton (Joseph); his common law wife, Earlie Price of Jackson; six sisters, Willye Jean Johnson (Carl), NeKather Irvine (Tommy), Devvie Smith and Earnice Shepeard; all of Yazoo City, Carolyn Miles of Portsmouth, Va. and Janice Lewis of New Iberia, La.; six brothers, Eugene Johnson Jr. of Jackson, Sammie Shepeard (Arlene) and Willie J. Shepeard, both of Riverside, Calif., and David J. Johnson, Kevin Johnson (Yvonne) and Floyd Gainwell, all of Yazoo City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Walter Gainwell, Kelvin Adams, DeYoung Haymer, Tommy Irvine, Lavel Fleming and James Harber.
