Panthers head coach Bernard Euell had expressed concerns about Houston’s defense before Friday night’s contest, few would have imagined the Hilltoppers could hold Yazoo County scoreless.
But Houston pulled off a feat that no one else could accomplish all year, shutting down Yazoo County’s offense on the way to a 34-0 victory in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs.
The Panthers finished the season 10-3 and district champions.
