Library Club formed at Yazoo County Junior High

Special to The Herald

Beginning with the 2012-13 school year, a Library Club has been formed at Yazoo County Junior High School.
Students are chosen from each of the Reading Classes to be responsible for straightening shelves, shelving books, assisting Librarian Wendy Cartwright with book processing, changing wall decorations and any other duties that come up throughout the year.  Students will rotate each nine weeks.
Students were recognized with a “treat” for the first nine weeks.
Those students are  eighth graders Devante Bradfield, Noah Cleveland, Emily Hawk, JaMarya Haymer, Malik Hicks, Melinda Holmes, Arias Jones, Rebecca Lunceford, Cody Parker, Tamia Reynolds, Shelyshia Scott, D’Ariel Shannon, Danesha Slater and Jamarcus Smith; and seventh graders Brenna Beliew, Andrill Dawson, Megan Fielder, Jesse Henderson, Jarrett Potter, Joseph Sanders and Clair Tripp.
These students take their job seriously and take responsibility independently as well as reminding their classmates to be responsible library users as well.
