Donte Swan stayed a step ahead of investigators for nearly a month.
He slipped away from Holmes County deputies and was nowhere around when his car was found hidden on Ridge Road in Yazoo County.
Officers were working hard to find a lead to find Swan, the only suspect in a June 24 Midway business burglary who hadn’t yet been arrested,  when he served himself up on a silver platter.
Swan tossed some garbage out the window of the vehicle he was driving Monday afternoon in front of a Ridgeland police officer. Swan attempted to give false identification after being stopped for littering, but the officer wasn’t fooled.
