Two Yazoo area bass anglers competed in the recent Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League (BFL) MS Division Regional Tournament at The Red River near Natchitoches, LA Oct.18-20.
Both anglers reported tough fishing during the competition.
Matt Smith of Brandon, formerly of Bee Lake & Rick Morgan of Benton both competed in the co-angler division for 2 days of the 3-day event.
Rick Morgan weighed in 7 bass that totaled 8lbs. 3oz. Matt Smith weighed in 3 bass with a total weight of 2lbs. 9oz. The top boater was Pete Lowe of Woodworth, LA, with a 3-day, 15-bass total of 40lbs. 2oz., which won him a new Chevy Silverado pick-up truck with a Ranger bass boat & 200 horsepower outboard.
