Parker attends Razorbacks camp
Jordan Parker and Reggie Johnson, linebacker coach of the University of ArkansasWith the 2010 football campaign right around the corner, Yazoo County junior linebacker Jordan Parker has been hitting up collegiate camps all summer showcasing his skills to some of the top coaches in the game.
His latest was held at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville for a junior and senior prospect camp this past weekend. Parker says he was a little nervous about performing in front of the coaches and even more taken back by the scenery.
“I’ve never been to a campus in the mountains, it’s beautiful out there,” he said. “If I had to go to any college right now, that’s where I’d go.”
Stunning landscape aside, Parker was eager to get down to business and work on several aspects of his skills while picking up new techniques along the way.
“(The drills) were a lot longer and a lot more detailed,” Parker said. “They taught us how to work with your hands; how to get around them and learning all the different cuts and rips. In a way I knew what to do; they just taught me how to do it better. I thought I did pretty good.”
