Gabriel Campbell came through in the clutch once again, both on the mound and with the bat. His grand slam Monday catapulted the Yazoo City 12-year olds to a 4-0 lead over Canton and by the end of the night, Campbell was the winning pitcher in the 8-0 win.

The 12-year olds remain undefeated in the North Regional following wins over Noxubee County, Boys Baseball and Canton Youth. The boys will play once again Tuesday against Vernon Sampson out of Greenville. A complete recap will be in Saturday’s edition of The Herald.
