Miss Lauren Guthrie and Christoper KirkMr. and Mrs. Billy Guthrie of Yazoo City are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Leigh Guthrie, to Christopher Cody Kirk, son of Raymond Kirk and Debra Kirk of Yazoo City.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie H. Guthrie Sr. of Yazoo City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Powell of Louise.
Miss Guthrie is a graduate of Benton Academy.
She is employed at Benchsmart Federal Credit Union.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Kirk Sr., Malcolm Weathers and the late Alma Morris, all of Yazoo City.
He is a graduate of Manchester Academy.
He is self-employed with Kirk Trucking.
The couple will be married on November 3, 2012 at 3 p.m. in Satartia at the Emmaus Chapel at No Mistake Plantation.
Rev. David Bryant, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate the double-ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at the Benton Country Club.
Invitations have been sent for the ceremony, but family and friends are invited to attend the reception.
