FLOWOOD – Nora Grace Davis wrapped up a brilliant high school softball career with one last victory Wednesday.
Davis competed in the  A MAIS All-Star fast pitch game Wednesday at Jackson Prep, helping lead the North to a 13-8 victory over the South. Davis was the lead off hitter and starting shortstop for her team.
Davis ended the game 2-2 at the plate with a double and two walks in her pivotal lead-off role.
"I was so nervous at first," Davis said. "But, it ended up being a great experience for sure."
The game signifies the end of a terrific career that spans back to her first stepping on the field for the Lady Raiders in her seventh grade year and playing more than just one position at that.
"I played everywhere my first few years," she said.
