Panthers prevail in 23-20 nailbiter

By ALEX LAKE
Sports Editor

The Yazoo County Panthers were able to hold off the Greenwood Bulldogs (4-4) Friday night at "The Swamp" by a nail-biting 23-20 score.
The Panthers haven't had many close games this year since their only loss at the beginning of the season to Florence 29-28. Since that loss, Yazoo County has outscored their opponents by a whopping 235-60 in seven games.
"Most importantly, we stopped their big plays on offense," Head coach Bernard Euell said.
