Panthers win big in district opener

By ALEX LAKE
Sports Editor

The Yazoo County Panthers continued on their win streak Friday by walloping the home team Amanda Elzy 48-8.
Quarterback Michael Collum was 9-13 with 182 yards and three touchdowns. Gerald Lampkin led the receiving corps for the Panthers with 12 receptions for 88 yards and two touchdowns. The Panthers totaled 355 yards of offense.
Even with all the offense, second year head coach Bernard Euell says his defense has been the catalyst all season.
