An escaped inmate was captured within five hours thanks to investigators pounding the pavement.
Allen McGee was charged with felony escape.
Capt. Willie Hubbard said McGee was in jail on two counts of a business burglary and an attempted business burglary when he escaped from jail around 3 p.m. Saturday.
“He managed to break the lock of his jail cell,” Hubbard said.
