YCHS JROTC to participate in parade

Special to The Herald

The Yazoo City High School JROTC Department Drill Team aims to participate in the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans.
In order for the department to participate in the parade, the students have to raise funds for their travel expenses. Their goal for the trip is $700.
The students request any assistance and donations from the community so that they may travel to the parade, representing Yazoo City.
The students will also be conducting several fundraisers within the community over the next few months. They plan to work on lawns and any other housework duties.
To hire the JROTC Department for lawn or house work or to make a donation, call Quincy Parker at 571-0156, Stephen Diew at 590-6434 or Kieran Warren at 579-6664.
The JROTC Department would like to thank the community for its support.
