Smuggling efforts persist at local jail

The success rate isn’t good, and the penalties are severe, but that hasn’t stopped some people from trying to smuggle drugs and other contraband into the county jail.
The evidence room at the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department is filling up these days with items seized from would-be smugglers.
“It’s a big problem,” said Sheriff Jake Sheriff.
