Mavericks fall 14-6 at Sylva Bay

Josh Peaster scored on an 88-yard punt return, and the Mavericks defense delivered another outstanding performance.
But it wasn’t enough to secure the victory Friday as Sylva Bay defeated Manchester 14-6 on a wet and muddy field.
“It was another great night for our defense, but we just couldn’t get anything going offensively,” said Manchester head coach Benny McLendon.
McClendon said having senior running back Russ Allen sideline with an injury was a major setback.
