Layoff costs Yazoo City in 23-12 loss to Greenwood

By JOFFRE WASHINGTON
For the Herald

While tropical storm Isaac didn’t actually hit the Yazoo City area last week, it did have a slight effect on the Yazoo City High School Indian football team. With school dismissed two days last week in preventative measures related to Isaac, the Indians missed two valuable days of preparation for this past Friday’s game against Greenwood.
The lasting effects were evident as the Indians never could get in sync against the Bulldogs and dropped their first game of the year in a 23-12 loss.
