Blush takes first in Louise event
Will Edgar with a Louise 2-pounder. This bass was caught on a Strike King Series 6XD crankbait. Summer fishing usually means deep water, and deep-diving crankbaits can trigger aggressive strikes from deep-water bass.By WILL EDGAR

The Yazoo BASSMasters held a tournament recently near Louise. The conditions were great as far as the weather was concerned, but the weights did not reflect that. Here are the Top 5 from that tournament.
1. Herb Blush: 5 bass. Total weight: 9lbs. Big bass was 2lbs. 5oz.
2. Jason Griffin: 5 bass. Total weight: 7lbs. 10oz. Big bass was 2lbs. 4oz.
3. Dewey Hood: 3 bass Total weight: 6lbs.10oz. Big bass was 2lbs. 10oz.
4. Bert McDaniel Sr.: 2 bass. Total weight: 4lbs.10oz. Big bass was 2lbs. 10oz.
5. Van Foster: 2 bass. Total weight: 3lbs. 7oz. Big bass was 1lb. 14oz.
As for yours truly, I finally broke "The Curse Of The Zero", with a 2lb. 1oz. keeper. Crankbaits and soft plastic lures were the productive methods.
