The vines cover her from time to time these days, and the water bed beneath is usually dry.
But she still proudly stands as an icon of a past era, serving as a reminder of Yazoo’s rich history.
The story of the Yazoo River bridge in Jonestown is over a century old. Her iron skeleton has seen thousands of travelers cross over her. She has been a spot of wonder for many children as they walked over the murky waters of the Yazoo.
