On a rain-soaked field at Buster Crawford Stadium, turnovers ultimately decided the game as Tri-County Academy defeated Manchester 12-9.
“I thought we outplayed them most of the game, but the bottom line is the final score,” said Mavericks head coach Benny McClendon. “We outgained them offensively, but both teams had three or four turnovers because of the wet conditions.”
