Tickets are currently available for the annual Oakes African-American Cultural Center’s support banquet.
The banquet will be held on Aug 21 at 7 p.m. at the L.T. Miller Community Center on Lamar Avenue.
The special guest speaker this year is Warden Bruce Pearson of the Federal Correctional Complex in Yazoo City. This year’s theme is “Continuously Seeking Greater Cultural Achievements.”
Tickets are $10, and all proceeds go towards the maintenance and improvement of the Oakes Cultural Center.
