Dear fellow Yazooans,

As you know, I am very involved with baseball and have a desire to go on to play at the college level. Pursuant to that goal I recently tried out for, and was accepted to, an outstanding organization that I believe will provide me with the opportunity to continue improving as a player. I am writing to ask for your help in making that dream a reality.
Coast to Coast Baseball has been selecting and training college prospects since 2000. Since that time hundreds of their alumni have gone on to play at every level of college baseball and professionally. Each they consider between 1,500 and 2,000 athletes from across the country for their programs. In the end, between 200-250 players are allowed to participate, so I am part of a very select group.
In order to qualify for the program I attended a tryout where Coast to Coast scouts evaluated my skills in four areas: hitting, fielding, arm strength and speed. As one of the top performers I was accepted. The organization offers a number of different opportunities, but the one I am interested in is their Florida program.
As you can see, this program offers athletes like me a number advantages, including exposure to top coaches and scouts, an opportunity to learn from those who have played and coached at the collegiate and/or professional level, a chance to improve my skills by playing with and against other top prospects and information on the college recruiting process that will enable me to ask the right questions when it comes to selecting a school.
In order to keep my amateur status in tact, I am responsible for raising the cost of my trip. I am hopeful you will consider making a donation to help offset the cost of travel.
